Bite me Starkiller.Welcome to Empire City, a city full of hope, serenity and tranquil. Until someone blew it up and taking sizable chunk with it. Cole,a bike messenger, woke up in the middle of the city, destroyed and has gone to hell. After a few days, falling conscious, he possesses the power to control lightning. The fate of the city is under Government quarantine and its up to you to do something about it
In a nutshell, Infamous is an open world game where you can do whatever you, blow anything up and rail slide wherever you want. There is a catch however, the Karma system lets you be dubbed a super hero, or a super JERK! Either you bring Empire City back on its feet, or bring the people down on their knees. The tag line says it nicely, "Save what's left or destroy it all."
The real star of the game is the game play. Cole climbs exactly where you want him to be, combat are challenging and never frustrating, and rail sliding roof top to another is breathtaking. As you progress throughout the game, your power becomes cooler and cooler. I don't mean it topples more, but you become a juggernaut. Be a good boy your power becomes precision and stays blue. Become a bad boy you become a massive destructive force of nature. After all said and done, just recharge to the nearest light pole ( or bio leech any pedestrian) and start blasting.
The story is decent enough to make you wonder more, but somehow its not very deep. The Unique side quest lets you aligned with the specific missions to gain enough experience points to unlock new powers and more trophy. For those trophy whores, you have to go schizos to get that bloody platinum. That's the long version. If you have a Playstation 3 and you dont buy Infamous, you are dumb. Well if you excuse me, I wanna zap some conduits to hell and bio leech some trophies. 5 blast shards out of 5.
